Fun and Games for the Younger Folks
The Maine Celtic Celebration is synonymous with good music and cheer. But do you know what else the Celebration brings to the city of Belfast? It brings an awesome children’s area where kids of all ages are welcome to explore and play. Come and visit us and take part in the myriad of activities we have planned for the weekend.
There are things for all ages to do. We will offer an arts and crafts table where children can make salt dough paintings of Celtic symbols and can do coloring sheets. Children will be able to get their nails painted as well. There will be sensory stations where little ones can play with play dough, sand and water. For older children, there will be a game station, where they can play different kinds of card games when they are tired and want to sit awhile.
But that’s not all! We will also have many more active games happening at the same time, such as ladder ball, tic tac toe, frisbee, bean bag tosses, cornhole games, and others. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: the famous Wellie Boot Toss, the miniature version of the heavy games.
Kids will play, create, and explore under the close eye of adult volunteers. We also ask that parents please accompany your children so that the activities can work seamlessly. Come on down and join the fun! We are open from 12 – 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday, July 21th and 22nd. Hope to see you there!
