Celebration Map

Please check out the map of our Celebration and some important information about the venue.

The Celebration takes place at two adjacent parks in downtown Belfast, Steamboat Landing and Belfast Common. Steamboat Landing is a 2.5-acre flat grassy park right on the waterfront and serves as the southern terminus of the Belfast Harbor Walk. It includes the park, a gazebo, and The Boathouse. Belfast Common is located just uphill from Steamboat Landing, on a large, open hillside that overlooks Belfast Bay and provides a natural seating area for our Main Stage, with the beautiful bay as the backdrop. Please note the Celebration is a smoke-free environment.

Directions:From Route 1 north or south, exit at the Route 3 interchange and follow signs for downtown Belfast (this is Main Street). Follow Main Street through the traffic light in the center of town and down the hill towards the harbor. Turn right at either Cross Street or Front Street and the parks are just two blocks away.

Parking: Free all-day parking is available in several city-owned lots around the downtown area. The largest lot is located on Washington Street, behind Traci’s Diner and Rollie’s Bar and Grill. There is additional free parking in the lot on Beaver Street and in a small lot on Cross Street (behind the Belfast Co-op). On-street parking on most downtown streets is time-limited, and parking rules are enforced by the Belfast Police Department. All of these lots are just a short walk from the Celebration and from the downtown business area.

Handicapped Accessible Parking:  The Celebration offers free all-day parking for vehicles displaying the proper identification in several locations adjacent to the parks. There are also reserved parking spaces on Miller Street (alongside Belfast Common) and at The Boathouse (at the end of Commercial Street). To access these parking areas, please see the attendants at our Donation Stations or ask any Volunteer for assistance.  Several spaces are also reserved in the small lot on Union Street, which is a great place to listen to the music from the Main Stage without leaving your vehicle.

We Love Dogs! All Belfast City Parks are open to well-behaved dogs on leashes. Dogs MUST remain on a leash and under the owner’s control at all times. Dog owners are also required to clean up after their dogs. There is a dog watering station (that often includes a sprinkler, too!) provided by Friends of Belfast Parks located at the top of Belfast Common, near the barbecue vendor.

First Aid: There is a First Aid Station located on Steamboat Landing to provide basic care for cuts, scratches, etc. In an emergency please dial 911.

Lost and Found: located at the merchandise tent

Restrooms: There are several portable toilet facilities located around the Celebration, including handicapped accessible units. There are also public restrooms at The Boathouse, and at the corner of Main and Front Streets in downtown Belfast.

ATM: There is an ATM located in the vendor area at Belfast Common, and several banks in downtown Belfast also provide ATM access at their branches.

Weather: The Celebration takes place adjacent to Belfast Bay, and it can be breezy/foggy/chilly/sunny on any given day. We urge you to check the weather forecast for each day and consider bringing sunscreen, hats, rain gear, etc depending on the weather. There are VERY few areas to get out of the rain, the exceptions being The Boathouse and the Steamboat Stage tent.

 Other things to know:

Lawn chairs, blankets, SMALL sun umbrellas, etc. are welcome as long as they don’t interfere with other attendees.

Coolers are allowed, however, alcoholic beverages are prohibited everywhere at the Celebration except inside the Beer Tent, and at The Boathouse after the fireworks on Saturday night. Only alcoholic beverages purchased from our licensed vendors are allowed at The Celebration.
